Communities Unite Against Canadian Mining Injustices

Representatives from communities across Canada and around the world met in Toronto May 7-9, 2010, to discuss the impacts Canadian mining companies are having on their communities.

The delegates plan to meet again in Toronto on June 22 to discuss the establishment of a pan-American network that will unite community and solidarity groups throughout the Americas.

Van Ferrier is a journalist and communications specialist living in Montreal.
