Vancouverites Stage Picket Against Israeli Shipping Company

Haifa based ZIM Integrated Shipping Services unloads at Deltaport twice a month

Dozens of activists set up an information picket at Deltaport on August 24, designed to slow the transport of containers belonging to the Israeli shipping company Zim. Demonstrators gave truckers and passers-by information about the growing refusal by workers to unload and transport cargo from Israel or shipped by Israeli companies. Vancouver Media Co-op correspondents filed this report.

On Tuesday August 3rd, dozens of Vancouverites, led by the DTES Power of Women Group, held a protest outside the office of the Ministry of Child and Family Development. Members of the Vancouver Media Co-op filed this report.
