The Missing Women: Decolonization, Third Wave Feminism, and Indigenous People of Canada and Mexico conference is to be held from Aug. 14-17. It is being hosted by Luther College's Women Studies at the University of Regina.

The opening ceremonies will begin Aug. 14 with the unveiling of a memorial to missing and murdered indigenous women at the First Nations University of Canada. It was commissioned by the conference organizers with sponsorship from Casino Regina. The memorial was created by Adrienne Stimpson, curator of Indigenous Art at the Mendel Art Gallery in Saskatoon. There are a series of activities and events planned for the four days.

"On the last day of the conference, we have what we call affinity groups and this is an opportunity to have time to reflect on what they have heard at the conference. What they brought to the conference themselves and where they think they need to go next," said [organizer] Anderson.
