Beit Jala

Beit Jala

During a weekly protest against the on-going construction of the Wall in Beit Jala, protesters break through Israeli ranks and surround a bulldozer as it prepares to demolish olive trees and the front yard of a Palestinian home that lies in the Wall's path. Earlier in the week, 6 activists were arrested for tying themselves to these olive trees in the front yard, in order to disrupt the construction of the Wall.

The Dominion is a monthly paper published by an incipient network of independent journalists in Canada. It aims to provide accurate, critical coverage that is accountable to its readers and the subjects it tackles. Taking its name from Canada's official status as both a colony and a colonial force, the Dominion examines politics, culture and daily life with a view to understanding the exercise of power.
